Rautomead’s Advancing Metals Technology division focuses on providing facilities for investigating the feasibility of continuous casting of new metals & alloys and for developing tooling and casting techniques to process existing metals & alloys closer to finished size in order to minimise production costs.

With over 30 years’ experience of graphite resistance heating and continuous casting technology, using modern Upward and Horizontal continuous casting and laboratory equipment, Rautomead offer the capability to make sample batches of as-cast material or to undertake R&D projects to create new tooling designs and/or to develop new casting techniques to investigate the manufacture of non-ferrous metals & alloys by new process routes with significant cost savings.
